company history
Kenneth R. Thompson, Jr., Builder, Inc. is a commercial construction company based in Greenwood and Gautier, MS with extensive experience in historical renovation, commercial renovation, educational construction and renovation, medical construction, parks and recreational construction, and design/build planning and development. Founded in 1982 by Kenneth R. Thompson, Jr., the company has grown over the past 25 years to employ nearly 30 staff members, many of whom have been with the company for 10 to 20 years.
Associated Builders and Contractors, the national trade association for the contracting industry, has awarded KTB seven Excellence in Construction awards for projects ranging from $1.5 million and lower to $5 to 10 million.

KTB’s team approach to construction management makes general contractor services available to the project owner and architect / engineer from start to finish. By extending these management services to clients not only during the construction phase, but during the programming and design phases as well, our approach integrates planning, design, and construction tasks into a comprehensive construction system with the owner’s interests as top priority. Interaction between the construction costs, quality, and completion schedule are carefully examined by team leaders – owners, architects, engineers, and contractors – to ensure that a built structure of maximum value to the client is executed in the most economic time frame.
